OUR CLIENT: Global Tier 1 Automotive Supplier looking to direct hire a Help Desk Specialist. They are very stable and expanding. Position open due to growth. Strong career progression opportunities for the right candidate.
Overview: (Partial list)
Responsible for handling end-user computer hardware and software support questions for the global offices of the firm in a 24 X 7 environment.
Serves as the first point of contact for users with complex issues in various Microsoft Office products, as well as other technical hardware and software issues.
Function as (one of the team members) contact for all Information Technology issues throughout the firm.
Provide support using active directory and exchange to manage user security and account privileges.
Provide support on Windows 7, MS Office 2007 Professional, Internet, Intranet, telephone, voicemail/ Messaging, email, printers, and proprietary applications. Other responsibilities will be assigned as you gain more experience.
Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate IT Team.
Maintain working knowledge of all Firm deployed applications.
Report common issues to IT Help Desk Supervisor to facilitate long-term solutions.
Provide feedback for ongoing and maintenance of IT Help Desk database for purpose of call tracking, knowledge database creation, and statistical report generation.
Experience:
At least 3 years of full-time, professional experience as a Help Desk Support in a large professional services environment preferred.
Skills:
Excellent knowledge and usage of Microsoft Office 2007 Professional or higher.
Experience of Windows Operating System,
Microsoft Office Products
Prior experience using remote tools to connect to resolve problems a plus
Excellent customer service skills required.
Prior Ticket System experience for recording help desk issues/resolutions.
Education:
Two year College Degree or equivalent work experience in related computer field.
Plus: (Not a must have) Windows 7 or Network
Certification.
