Bartender

JOB TITLE:
Bartender REPORTS TO:
Manager PREPARES FOR A SHIFT BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
o Arrives to work on time, in the proper work attire, and ready to work.
o Complete a pour test o Cuts garnishes (e.
g.
, lemons, limes) using knives, slicers, and other equipment.
o Makes sure all bar equipment is in proper working order, communicating problems when necessary.
o Opens bottles of wine to prepare for service to guests.
o Understands and adheres to all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures.
EXECUTES THROUGHOUT THE SHIFT BY PERFOMING THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
o Greets and establishes rapport with guests o Communicates clearly and enthusiastically with guests and team members- have an outgoing attitude and retain your self composure at all times.
o Suggestively sells appetizers and drink upgrades to guests seated at the bar.
o Maintains working knowledge of liquor, beer, and wine offered at Twisted Rooster.
o Meaningfully advises guests and employees on alcoholic beverages.
o Prepares drink orders for servers and guests according to recipe specifications or special requests.
o Complies with all state and federal liquor laws by requesting that guests present a valid form of ID.
o Adheres to alcohol awareness procedures for preventing guest intoxication.
o Processes payment (credit card and cash) transactions using the POS system.
o Cleans and sanitizes work stations with sanitizer and towels.
o Refills drink orders and prepares next round to ensure that guests never have an empty glass.
o Changes beer kegs, soft drink containers, and CO2 tanks to ensure fresh product is provided to guests.
o Fills five-gallon buckets with ice, carries them to the bar ice wells, and as ice melts, replace wells with fresh ice.
o Makes food and drink recommendations to guests who are indecisive to provide assistance and hospitality.
o Polishes glassware to ensure cleanliness and maintain presentation standards.
o Retrieves cases of beer and liquor from refrigerator and carries them behind the bar to maintain sufficient levels of merchandise.
o Maintains cleanliness in and around the bar e.
g.
, coolers, floors, displays, bar top, and chairs.
o Adheres to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
o Is knowledgeable and up to date on liquor, beer and wine we provide to our guests.
EXECTUTES AT THE END OF THE SHIFT BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
o Breaks down and sanitizes bar equipment and drains and cleans (e.
g.
, sweep, mops, etc.
) according to sanitation standards.
o Replenishes bar stock and supplies to prepare for next shift.
o Counts out register drawer to ensure proper amount of cash is enclosed and cash total with sales print out.
o Checks out with a manager and performs additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
o Able to communicate (speak, read and write) in English o Must meet local, legal minimum age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Able to bend at the waist and lift items up to 30lb.
to waist levels.
o Able to move items up to 30 lbs.
for distances of up to 25 feet.
o Able to remain standing and active for an 8-12 hour shift.
o Able to hear, understand, and respond to teammates and guests requests in a loud environment.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
