Server Job Description PREPARED FOR A SHIFT BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
o Arrives to work on time, in the proper work attire, and ready to work.
o Meets with manager to receive updates and station assignment.
o Prepares silverware rolls to ensure sufficient stock of silverware is available.
o Stocks station to ensure supplies are available.
o Confirms that assigned section is spotless by visually inspecting area to prepare for guests.
o Understands and adheres to all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures.
EXECUTES THROUGHOUT THE SHIFT BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
o Greets guests, introduces self, and presents guest with menu to welcome them.
o Informs guests of specials and menu changes so they may make an informed choice for their meals.
o Makes food and drink recommendations to guests who are indecisive to provide assistance and hospitality.
o Suggestively sells to increase check total and food sold in the restaurant.
o Takes and records food and beverage orders from guests and repeats orders back to the guests to ensure accuracy.
o Answers questions guests may have regarding food, beverages, restaurant, and service using knowledge of the restaurant to inform guests of services available.
o Complies with all state and federal liquor laws by requesting that guests present a valid form of ID when ordering alcohol.
o Relays orders to kitchen staff and bar by entering items from order ticked to POS system so they know what beverages and meals to prepare.
o Visually inspects guests' orders and compares them to the order tickets to make sure that all items are prepared according to guests' specifications.
o Ensure Perfect Plate and drink presentation before items are delivered to guests.
o Picks up orders from the kitchen and service areas that correspond to order tickets and delivers orders to guest on serving tray to make sure correct orders are delivered according to standards.
o Handles guests' complaints by listening to their concerns, contacts manager with any problems, and solves complaints to the satisfaction of the guests to ensure return visits and guest satisfaction.
o Follows up with guests by asking about meal to assess quality of meal and to resolve any problems.
o Observes guests' body language to anticipate guests' needs to add value to the guests' experience and promotes repeat business.
o Suggests desserts or coffee at the completion of the guests' meal.
o Asks guests about their experience at the restaurant to ensure continued satisfaction and determine if they need additional items.
o Prepares bill using POS, provides bill to guests in ticket folder, accepts payment from guest, and returns change/charge slip to guests.
o Thanks and talks to guest as they leave by asking if they enjoyed their meal and inviting them to return again.
o Prepares tables for arriving guests by wiping off chairs and booths and setting tables.
o Communicates with hosts and managers regarding availability of tables, seating of large parties, or special requests.
o Assists other servers by running food, pre-bussing tables, etc.

o Assists managers in training new servers by showing trainees the correct way to complete tasks to help them learn about the restaurant.
o Polishes silverware and glassware by wiping them to ensure cleanliness and maintain presentation standards.
o Checks out with a manager and performs additional duties as assigned.
o Completes assigned side work to maintain product supply level and sanitation standards.
o Reads work schedule to determine what next shift and work time will occur.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
o Able to communicate (speak, read and write) in English.
o Must meet local, legal minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Able to bend at the waist and lift items up to 50lbs.

o Able to move items up to 30lbs.

o Able to remain standing and active for an 8-12 hour shift.
o Able to hear, understand and respond to employees' and guests' in a loud environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
